ESSENTIAL HEALTH CARE EQUIPMENT BENEFITS THOUSANDS

Boikanyo Solar has donated essential health care equipment in response to a request from the Department of Health, demonstrating its commitment to addressing the needs of Primary Health Care Facilities.

All three health care facilities, namely Hester Malan CHC, Breipaal PHC and L Adams Clinic provide care for the solar plant’s beneficiary communities and are based within the Siyancuma Local Municipality, with a combined monthly patient quota of almost 8 000 community members.

The equipment handover, which took place on 18 January 2021, included wheelchairs, folding walkers, walking sticks and BP monitors, as follows: 13 Wheelchairs; 10 Folding Walkers; 10 Walking Sticks; 8 BP Monitors.

Boikanyo Solar’s socio economic development programme benefits communities of Douglas, Bongani and Breipaal and includes a focus on primary health care, in order to help address needs of the beneficiary communities, by improving access to quality health care facilities; upgrading equipment in existing clinics; and upgrading existing clinics.
