In a gesture that underscores its commitment to education and community support, Boikanyo Solar has for the third consecutive year donated brand-new school bags to 1,000 Grade 1 students across six local primary schools, aiming to positively impact their educational journey from the very start.
Understanding the influence of school uniforms and related accessories on a child’s self-esteem and focus in school, Boikanyo Solar’s donation extends beyond the functional value of the bags. “It’s our pleasure to provide these learners with the tools they need for success. We believe that by supporting them today, we are investing in a brighter future for our community,” expressed Lesego Mosiane, Community Liaison Officer at Boikanyo Solar.
This initiative reflects Boikanyo Solar’s broader vision of fostering an environment where every child has the confidence and motivation to pursue academic excellence. By equipping them with quality school bags, the company aims not only to enhance their school experience but also to level the playing field, ensuring that all students can attend school with dignity and pride, regardless of their financial background.
Mrs. Kershof, a teacher at Douglas Combined School, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the generosity, saying, “We extend our sincere gratitude to Boikanyo Solar for generously donating school bags to every Grade 1 learner. This contribution will have a great impact on the learners and we are very appreciative.”
The beneficiary primary schools included: Douglas Primary, Bongani Primary, Vaal-Oranje Primary, Douglas Combined School, Vaallus Primary, and Bucklands Primary.
